Filming

As you can tell, we had some amazing costumes.

 Make up was pretty amazing too!
Spare no expense. I would think.

Today we filmed and to my knowledge, we filmed everything we needed which is good. Despite not doing any acting in the video itself, or wanting too, I still had to play a zombie. No big deal. I can edit that to make it look better anyway. I hope.

Initially, I sat around and offered moral support to the actors that were kind enough to offer their "talent" to us for free. I thought it would be a great idea to take some pictures on my phone (8 MP camera) to capture the moment and amuse myself. Adding them to this blog was not the initial idea, but it works well. Editing should start tomorrow (24.2.12), I intend on using my laptop. Mainly because I can then use Sony Vegas. As much as I know I should use Premiere, I have no clue how to nor do I feel comfortable using it.

Future goal: Learn how to use Premiere.

I also have After Effects, not to mention the fact my laptop's specs are up to par with the college desktops anyway. (Maybe better, but I'm not trying to brag, much). After asking Julian what the editing should consist of, he stated something along the lines of, you don't notice a good edit, you want a smooth, clean and flowing edit so much so that the viewers don't notice. As apposed to flashy effects everywhere. Sounds reasonable. In case anyone else in my class decides they want to use this blog or the pictures. I did it first. Just saying! :3

Internet Privacy & Contracts

 Privacy;
Wikileaks is a site dedicated to exposing things that various Governments do not want to be public.
The site is constantly under attack thus the site is host is always moving. The site is well known for posting secret/private documents online.

There are other cases of personal privacy violations, for example if somebody has an affair and it is publicly posted.
To prevent this you can get a super injunction, which stops information about you from being publicly posted.

Recently Twitter has changed its privacy policy to state that they can take down and censor any pots for certain countries/governments.

 For companies to be able to legally collect personal information legally they must apply to ICO, they make sure people do not have illegal information . For example they check companies' data bases for any information that they should not have, because companies can only keep information for a set amount of time before it becomes illegal and they must delete it.

Contracts;
A contractor is somebody who does not have a fixed contract with somebody and is a free lancer, meaning they accept jobs from people when they come up. Although the rate pf jobs can be un stable, the pay is more.

However throughout work, a contractor will normally/always be under a contract of some sort. NDA's  (Non disclosure agreements) prevent and are used to stop people from talking about a certain thing. For example, if you were working on a project you could not tell anybody about it.

Website review II

To follow up the last post, I will now cynically and critically look at my own website that I made for a previous project.

Initially the website was designed to be aimed at the target audience that the film has. To do this I followed the theme of the movie and tried to stick to that throughout the website.

The background of the entire site is the same and does not change, while I feel that it doesn't need to change, it might have been a nice affect to it.

The font used for the content and the font used for titles are different.
The one used for titles is a foreign looking font which would attract attention and looks mysterious.
The font used for content is a clear, bold font. The fonts are the same types of fonts that would appeal to younger people.

The overall feel and design of the website is dark and would apply to the younger audience because of it.
There are social media icons/buttons also on the site for use.
