Internet Privacy & Contracts

 Privacy;
Wikileaks is a site dedicated to exposing things that various Governments do not want to be public.
The site is constantly under attack thus the site is host is always moving. The site is well known for posting secret/private documents online.

There are other cases of personal privacy violations, for example if somebody has an affair and it is publicly posted.
To prevent this you can get a super injunction, which stops information about you from being publicly posted.

Recently Twitter has changed its privacy policy to state that they can take down and censor any pots for certain countries/governments.

 For companies to be able to legally collect personal information legally they must apply to ICO, they make sure people do not have illegal information . For example they check companies' data bases for any information that they should not have, because companies can only keep information for a set amount of time before it becomes illegal and they must delete it.

Contracts;
A contractor is somebody who does not have a fixed contract with somebody and is a free lancer, meaning they accept jobs from people when they come up. Although the rate pf jobs can be un stable, the pay is more.

However throughout work, a contractor will normally/always be under a contract of some sort. NDA's  (Non disclosure agreements) prevent and are used to stop people from talking about a certain thing. For example, if you were working on a project you could not tell anybody about it.
